Toffee and caramel flavors. Excellent acid. Long finish. 19. (4/17/00). Dark brown bouquet of bananas and herb-scented oil. With time violets and then light Karo syrup develop. On palate flavors of violets and tea. Big wine with good acidity, and moderately long finish. Slightly monochromatic. Nose 17.5, taste 17.5, total score 17.5/20.
