Bottled 1900.Very dark color. Nose of powdered soap which dissipates with time. Then after apricots, cognac and nuts. On palate excellent balance with flavors of peach and a little chocolate. Slightly lighter than other 1846 wines tasted simultaneously. Good acidity and long, balanced finish. Nose 17, taste 19 with overall score 18/18.5. After 4 hours lanolin aromas appear and overall score 18/20. (3/12).
