Bottled 1900, recorked 1962. Medium brown. Nose with intense violets, almonds with skins, vanilla, touch of clothes and raw coconut. With time sarsaparilla, more coconut and some volatile acidity. On palate crushed violet taste is intense, but doesn't broaden in the mouth. Excellent acidity, but bitter finish with a little varnish. Short finish. Nose 18 +, taste 16 giving overall score of 17/20. (3/12).
