Fine sediment coating bottle surface. Bottom neck fill. Substantial cork but soft and broke apart on extraction. Opened two days prior to tasting.
Deep bronze-mahogany color fading to lime-green rim.
Initially a bit of bottle stink, but this quickly blew off. Intense aromas of fudge, toffee lemon and limeaide. A touch of VA.
Gained weight on the palate. Rich, smokey, then a blast of lemony acidity which I enjoyed.
Long citric finish. Some heat but with aeration this disapated.
A very fine wine. 95 points.

Thanks Eric, good to know. We have this as a particular pairing this coming weekend. You will be missed, but there will be plenty of other tastings that I am sure you will be able to join us!
