Understanding the IVDP

A complex organization, quasi-governmental, the IVDP is explained in detail here: http://catavino.net/in-a-fortified-position/

I wouldn't say the organization is explained in detail. What is explained is how they taste Ports and Douro wines. And while it sounds glamorous, it has to be tiring day after day of tasting [foilhat.gif]

Makes you wonder , why they do it , day after day.

Luc,

They do it, so that everyone here has some Port to drink that we can hold up to a higher standard. I for one, am very glad that the IVDP and their tasting panel team, both exist. I know you were joking around. [cheers.gif]
