Haven't had either of these. Would love to hear a tasting note or two on either of them or both of them.

If you look in the TNDB there are some TN's on the 1977. Don't see any for the 1971 though.

Niklas Jorgensen has a review of the 1971T on his blog - Mad About Madeira.

I've ordered some of the 1971, but don't have them yet since temperatures tend to preclude shipping right now.

Here's Neal Martin's note:
"The 1971 Terrantez is from the Adegas do Torreao reserves. It is fragrant and composed on the nose with dried apricot, quince, Asian spice and honeycomb that is well-defined and easy-going. The palate is voluminous in the mouth with crisp, hazelnut and smoke-infused, almost Sauternes-like fruit. It is very well-balanced and extremely well-focused with a composed, razor sharp, lemongrass finish. This is a Terrantez from the very top drawer."

This wine was originally from Torreao which D'Oliverias bought out some years ago.
