Unbelievable, the amount of wine and money tied up in this wine storage facility. A really interesting read.

Amazed the court has blocked the customers from even seeing their wine. I understand Hurricane Sandy created bigger losses, but that doesn't skirt their justice or rights...

I sure hope any auction house which takes these wines will identify them as such (dream on).

Yeah I saw this also, and I'm really having a hard time following the reasoning of the courts. I can't even twist the law around in my head to where bankruptcy proceedings could prevent the rightful owners from accessing their stocks. Those aren't assets of Wine Care, so they can't be protected by bankruptcy.

Really makes you think twice about putting anything you own in someone else's care.

I think the problem is that they may not know who owns which bottle. Until they get a proper inventory under control (which you think that they had time to do by now), it may be extremely difficult to say whose bottle of Château Rayas Châteauneuf-du-Pape is whose.

I would assume that a trustee would be appointed to this case, but what a headache for the trustee!
