GRAPE CHOICE

Post by Roy Hersh »

If you were to be given perfect terroir for your choice, to plant your favorite grape in the world, what would it be?
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

Quinta dos Malvedos. [beg.gif]

kthxbye

There's no one grape for me. I'd need probably the top 7 Port grapes, because I'd want to make Port. And maybe some Malbec for my wife.

If I had to pick one grape only, it would probably be shiraz, but the reason for this is due to it's versatility and the ability to produce good wine in a range of styles from different regions with completely different terroir.
Life would be pretty boring if you only drank wine made from a single grape variety from a single region.
