You've got to drink something while at the craps table, right?Eric Ifune wrote:We're ahead of California and Washington!

In MA, we have wicked low prices on booze, no sales tax on alcohol, and there's a packy on every corner.Brad Bogdan wrote:is that just a reflection of how interesting New England is? :-PMoses Botbol wrote:New England is keeping it real.![]()
Holy cow, didn't realize (shipping laws aside) MA was so pro-alcohol.Moses Botbol wrote:In MA, we have wicked low prices on booze, no sales tax on alcohol, and there's a packy on every corner.Brad Bogdan wrote:is that just a reflection of how interesting New England is? :-PMoses Botbol wrote:New England is keeping it real.![]()
Hence the consumption. We drink so much, that is why we can't easily ship to MA; liquor distributors & their lobbyist's hands are in every politician's pockets. Too much booze being sold here to let some outsider muscle in.Brad Bogdan wrote:Holy cow, didn't realize (shipping laws aside) MA was so pro-alcohol.
NH prices are not that much lower than MA prices. When NH Liquor Store has a sale, well that can be very convincing pricing. Selection is not as good as MA, but when 20 year Sandeman is $30; twist my arm!Eric Menchen wrote:Well, I bet the NV statistic is warped by the tourism. And someone commented on the article site that NH was probably biased by outside buyers because of their cheap prices.
