In the past six months have you been drinking more or less Port than for the same period one year ago?

Please explain why. [cheers.gif]

I'm drinking slightly more. I think a year ago I was still trying out different styles (completely different dessert wines too) but as I've really found "my thing" (aged tawnies and colheitas) I've started to enjoy them more (in both quantity and quality).

Less, I'm sure. We really cut back our wine purchases and consumption in 2013 and into 2014. We got way ahead of ourselves in 2012 so we needed some time to let the budget catch up with the cellar...

More! I did a slightly bigger birthday lineup this year and made it out to LA for a weekend with a lot of Port. Things have slowed now in the last month or so, so I thinks it is time to invite some people over for dinner to open a few bottles.

Last year I spent more time focusing on Douro table wines to broaden my knowledge of them. That meant I wasn't drinking as much Port as I have in the past. Now I'm back to a more even amount between the two, which means more Port so far this year and in my immediate future.
