Hi Graham, welcome to FTLOP!

In order to help you identify your bottle of Port, we'll need more information. Probably the best thing you could do would be to post pictures of the bottle so that we can look at things like the shape of the bottle itself, the selo de guarantia (that's the white paper tag sticking out from underneath the capsule on the neck of the bottle), and the label both front and back. Make sure the picture is clear enough that we can read the labels, as there are often clues on the label that aren't obvious unless you know what you're looking for. If there's anything on the very top of the bottle, a picture of that might help as well.

Hopefully we'll be able to help you out!

Hi Graham:

Welcome!

Unfortunately I have some bad news for you: The bottle can't be older than 344 years. WARRE was founded only in 1670. I don't know when they started to make white Port... but I'm sure it was quite some time after 1670.

Hi Graham,
And [welcome.gif] to the Forum.

All kidding aside, Graham's has only made a basic white Port that I am aware of*. Not vary valuable mind you, around $12-15 (USD). A picture will help us in possibly narrowing down the range of when it was bottled and thus may be an indicator of how well it may still be today.

*While I am not aware of anything other than a basic Graham's White Port, if the bottle is older, who knows what they may have done 'one-off' for a special retailer, club, person, or importer. But the odds are most likely this is nothing more than a very inexpensive bottle. A picture would help a great deal.

Andy - the poster was Graham, the port was Warre :-)
As all have said, please post an image of the bottle/label and we can probably help.
