Everyone,

I plan on staying two days in Porto this summer. I'll be looking for a few things there, and as my time will be limited i'm starting to plan my days ahead a bit.

In your opinion, where do i have to go ? (monuments, visits, restaurants, ...)
I'm thinking on visiting Taylor's Cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.

Do you have a favorite adress to buy port ?
I already noted "Garrafeira do Carmo" and "Vinologia".

I have a list of bottles i'd like to buy, hopefully at a better price than in France. Do you know if i can find these?
- Fonseca VP 1985
- Taylor's VP 1992
- Fonseca VP, Dow's VP, Graham's VP or Taylor's VP 1963
- Niepoort VP 2000

Thanks in advance for your advices!

The Taylor lodge is definitely worth a stop, and the restaurant there is quite nice. Vinologia is a great place to go drink Port, and buy bottles of lesser known producers that you can't find elsewhere. But for mainstream bottles like Fonseca 1985 and what have you, I'm not sure that you'll find better prices in Portugal compared to elsewhere. Close to you, the UK would probably be your best option for those VPs. I am reminded of shopping for wine in shops in France, at least in Grenoble and Annecy. For the CdPs I was looking for, I could get better prices in the US.

The Clerigos tower is fun to climb and the views from the top are superb.
