2014 Port Harvest Tour

Post by Roy Hersh »

This will be Mario and my 10th year of doing Port Harvest Tours together; coincidentally my 20th year of visiting No. Portugal and specifically, the Douro region and Porto/Gaia. My first visit in 1994 seems like a long time ago. This will be my 24th time going over that span, although the vast majority have been since 2003. I don't count visits like in May when after Madeira, I popped up to Porto for four days. Anyway, I can't wait to get back upriver. For the first time ever, we have six couples and there will actually be 7 women coming along this year ... a record, as typically it has been mostly men. Looking forward to try more 2011 Douro red wines and Ports too!
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

This will be Vic's and my 2nd consecutive Port Harvest Tour and I can't wait to share the amazing experiences with everyone again. I could imagine doing the Port Harvest tour every year for the rest of my life. It is that amazing.
