Back to back Nacionals

I had a very rough weekend of wine drinking. I hosted my tasting group and did all the cooking for a change. For dessert I opened the '70 Nacional followed by a 2002 #12 Kracher was really sick.
The following night in order to get a few ounces of the 1802 Acciaioly Terrantez Madeira, I had to contribute a 1966 Nacional which blew people away.
I had never opened two older bottles of Nacional (from my cellar 8) ) on consecutive nights. You can't take 'em with you, that is for sure. Actually as much as I loved the '66, the 1802 was even better, but we are talking about the difference between a 98 point VP and 99 point Madeira.
My tasting note section in this month's newsletter is absolutely insane!
