Stewart Todd is the man. He is not only good, but he is fast and was able to make this "area" happen really quickly.

So here you have it ladies and gents. You can come to buy & sell or trade your Ports and Madeira. I will also be posting great buys and suggestions whenever I am tipped off by a retailer, which happens quite regularly (especially in "season").

I am quickly going to move to have this a REAL NAMES ONLY, Forum ... so that anybody who visits will know the first/last name of the participant as well as the dity/state/country of residence. I think that for their to be a true marketplace here, there must be honest, courtesy and respect ... along with full disclosure on identity of all individuals.

Let's keep this fun and I hope to be able to bring some great suggestions to the table, albeit I never sell my own Ports.

I have never sold any of my wine. However, I think I woul be interested in the possibility of trades for some wines that are hard to find if I have something.
Also, tips on good sales, etc.. are ALWAYS welcome before they sell out.

Jay.

One more item, if anyone happens to be in AZ, a local, decently high end store, AJ's, ahs several bottles left (even after my visit) of Broadbent 2000 VP for $24.99. Not at all bad for the money!

Jay,

$25 for the 2000 Broadbent is absolutely crazy. I have had every Broadbent vintage since the debut of the '94 (not surprisingly) which I was the first American to try. The 2000 IS the best Vintage Port of the four releases the Broadbent's have done ('94, '97, '00, '03). At that price, I hope you grabbed a case or two. Impressive.

Disclaimer: I am close friends with the Broadbent family and Bartholomew in particular.

Even better now:

At at store today where this is on closeout for $22.86 per bottle. Buy a mixed case through tomorrow and you can get it 10% off that price.

Seems the local distributor is cutting deals to sell the Broadbent off amongst a bevy of other wines. Only other port on closeout was Warres 2000 for $38.
