1975 Croft Vintage Port

One of four bottles acquired in the last year, this the first to be broached.
Bottle chosen for having the lowest level (slightly below b/n). As I cleaned off the capsule there was a strong and pleasant smell of Xmas pudding.
Sometimes when you decant a bottle you get a good instinctive feeling about the contents - this was one of those occasions. The wine came perfectly off it's sediment a few minutes ago.
First sip - pleasantly aromatic, little fire, quite fresh. No great gravitas here, but looking very sound and fully mature..
More anon..
