TN: 1929 Barbeito Verdelho Vintage Madeira

This was another great Rare Wine Co. buy. I uncorked it tonight to give it some air for a tasting in 36 hours.
It was just heavenly from the first pop of the cork. I poured a small sample and let the bottle breath for a couple of hours, recorked and will be decanted 6 hours on Friday.
Hard to come up with enough superlatives. A full ripe dates, maple syrup bouquet. An unctuous mouth entry. Perfectly balanced.Hazenuts and more dried rich dates . Brown sugar, roasted candy nuts, almonds. Full silky mouth feel. Such concentration. Pure nectar of the gods.
I had the last swallow 15 minutes ago and the finish is still going.
I can't deduct a single point- a 100 point experience.

At 36 hours at the Friday wine group here in Fort Worth, still 100 points. Concentrated bouquet of toasted hazelnuts, brown sugar. Perfect with a dark chocolate mousse with pecan praline sauce. Concentrations are unbelievable. Enduring finish.
