For The Love Of Port

I've been taking a winter break in Hua Hin, southern Thailand for a few years now, and have built up a good circle of friends who are either ex-pat, or, like me, are averse to the British winter.

Yesterday, I was invited to a poolside barbecue at the villa of a local golf pro - a very pleasant occasion.

Then a young lady appeared who I had met a year ago when I was here. In fact, I got to know her quite well...

She wandered over, pretty as ever...

..but was carrying a young baby - which she presented to me with an earnest smile..

I host of cameras recorded the look on my face before everyone burst out laughing and the real mother appeared to take charge of her bundle of joy..

- Bastards!!

Clearly you should be spending more of your spare time drinking port, anything else leaves you "exposed" to practical jokes.....
