Our travel plans are very much at the "thinking about it" stage, but I'm determined to get to BC and Seattle if only to offline with some WS Forums pals who I see too rarely. I would also love to reconnect with Blobby, who has sadly disappeared from the WS Forums, but was from Snohomish and was one of the original WS Forums portlovers, with myself, ZekeBoston and tsunami.
As I recall, you briefly thought that you might have been able to attend the 1970/77 Taylor/Fonseca/Graham/Dow tasting we did at Berry Brothers in London a couple of summers ago, and I've since wondered if it might be possible to arrange something similar closer to home. Maybe even get some of the European portlovers over for it (you know who you are)

I don't suppose that you ever find your way north of the border? And much further east??
My passion for port is much more towards the aged than the new. In fact, I find most vintage ports less than 20 years old a waste, an exception being the 97 Sandeman Vau. That said, my collection is mostly 1983 and later, since ports of any age are almost impossible to buy here from our government monopoly. I used to travel often to Europe and lived overseas for many years, and so accumulated a few older bottles but most are now gone.
My all-time favourite bottle was a 1945 Croft, which tasted even better as it was served at lunch at Berry Brothers historic private dining room. When I win the lottery, this is the first bottle I buy!!
I find it difficult to get online too often, or for too long (two teenagers) but will stop in as often as I can. Thanks for the warm welcome!
