1985 Napa Valley Port Cellars Vintage port

This forum has inspired me to be more thorough about tasting notes, starting with a bottle of non-port, “Napa Valley Port Cellars”, the old (by American standards) vintage of 1985.
On decanting it was sweet, simple, and short (not long in the palate). Six hours later, after going to and winning some port at Sotheby's, and joining a friend for four pints of beer (who had just won his first ever lot of wine), it was still sweet and simple. Less short, though neither long nor complicated, with a hint of strawberry. Unremarkable, at best.
