Thought this was the perfect day to open a bottle and sit around with a glass.
While decanting it looked a little darker than I thought it would be, a beautiful pinot color with no bricking at the edges.
It thru a little sediment but not as much as I expected.
At first it was a little spirits on the nose which hid the fruit.
As I poured a little in the glass it opened up to reveal strawberry and cherry fruit.
The first sip was not as alcoholic as the nose indicated and had a persistent sour cherry finish which was most enjoyable.
I will be interested to see how it unfolds over the next day or two.
