Dear FTLOP members,

I just wanted to say hi.

I've just joined FTLOP. and I'm looking forward to participating in as many forums as possible. I've been working with Ports for quite a few years now and I thought it was time to give some more support to Roy's excellent effort at FTLOP.

Cheers!

Stefano,

Welcome to FTLOP - it is always great to see members joining from VNG and hopefully you will be giving us some weather reports from the Douro region throughout 2007 8)

You say you have been working with ports for many years - could you please explain a bit more about what your work involves so that we can get to know you?

Derek

Stefano,

Thank you for coming out of the shadows and becoming one of the newest members of the group known as "lurkers no more." I think that having someone of your stature from the Port trade will only enhance the learning experience of the folks here on FTLOP.

Maybe, just maybe  if others who remain as frequent but anonymous visitors to the FORUM, see your gutsy move turn out to be mostly painless ... they just might be enticed to lend their support here too. :soapbox: Ok, I am done! :help:

For Derek and other participant's benefit: Stefano has been the Sales Manager of Romariz for the past seven years.

I very much look forward to Stefano's :scholar: sharing his vast knowledge of Port, as we don't often see participation from esteemed members of the Port trade. You have my sincere appreciation for taking this "bold step."

Please join me in welcoming Stefano to our little enclave of Port, Madeira and Douro wine lovers! :salute:

Stefano,

Let me echo what Roy and Derek have already said...Welcome to the forum (as a poster now :D ).

It is great to see a member of the trade posting here, a dream come true of sorts for many of us. Thanks again for leading the way (hopefully more will follow you) and I look forward to your insight and knowledge. :thanks:

Thank you all for the warm welcome. Roy may be exaggerating a bit when referring to my vast knowledge of Port. I am indeed a lover of Port, although I’m only 30 years old and still have a lot to learn about it. Actually I was hoping to get it from you guys, whom I know are great lovers of Port and have gathered great knowledge of this nectar of the gods. Anyway, whatever I can help with, feel free to ask and I’ll do my best. Cheers.

P.S. My motto is clear for all people that don’t know Port:
REMEMBER, PORT COMES FROM PORTUGAL!
