!!! FTLOP CONTEST ANNOUNCED !!!
Posted: Sun Feb 25, 2007 1:39 pm
Calling ALL FTLOP Forum Participants -
We are creating a "new" logo image to adorn baseball caps and tee shirts. The bottle you see at the top of the page will be included, as will the upper red colored background (of the two shown). The For The Love Of Port will remain as is, inside the bottle.
The reason? I have a few trade shows, tastings and visits to Portugal coming up. Wearing FTLOP apparel although not as classy as a suit and tie, might not win me friends ... but it just might serve as a billboard and attract a new guest (to the website) or two.
I'd love your thoughts on this. I am even thinking about putting a big bottle across the back of the tee-shirt with http://www.fortheloveofport.com inside it. So please post anything that you think is applicable. The shirt and hat color is probably going to start out with just one selection: black and maybe a 2nd one would be khaki colored. But I am open to suggestions.
Now for the contest
CHALLENGE: I would like to have a tag line that will go directly on top of or beneath the logo'd bottle. It will go inside the red color shown above in black type.
RULES: Tag Line entry -
1. You may enter as early and as often as you'd like.
2. One winner will be selected on Friday, March 2nd 2007 (4 p.m. PST) by the FTLOP Advisory Committee of 4.
4. The tag line must not exceed 5 words and may be (preferably) less; but will be in good taste.
5. As an example, "Any Port in a storm" is not going to win ... so please be a bit more creative and have the tag line more representative of FTLOP.
The winner will be announced no later than Sunday, March 4th.
The last contest winner here, Frederick Blais, wound up with a bottle of 1970 Taylor Vintage Port.
GRAND PRIZE: The best "tag line" submission will win the following:
* The very first FTLOP hat produced
* The very first FTLOP tee shirt produced
* A bottle of FTLOP "favorite" Vintage Port as discussed on the Forum a zillion times ... which has been well-stored for years, in Roy's home cellar.
Please remember to provide some feedback on the topics of color, design etc., although the contest will only reflect the "tag line."
Legal Note: Prior to the Grand Prize disbursement, we will request a signed waiver, providing us with ownership of and the ability to copyright the tag line phrase.
