Attention all members of the wine industry: I need labels that I may use as illustrations in the official text book on wine for the Danish Wine Waiter Schools. The labels are applied free of charge.
I kindly ask you to send me label(s) via post (I need the actual paper label, not digital images) to my office address:
Vinens Verden
Att: Tore Scheel
Hesthaven 21 E, 1st floor
5260 Odense S
Denmark
Moreover, if you have any digital photos from your winery or wine region, you are most welcome to enclose these on a CD rom, I shall make good use of them.
The text book covers the following wine countries (subject to confirmation):
Algeria
Argentina
Australia
Austria
Chile
Cyprus
France
Germany
Hungary
Israel
Italy
Morocco
New Zealand
Portugal
South Africa
Spain
Tunisia
USA
Thanking you for your kind assistance, I remain with.

Tore,
Welcome to FTLOP.
It is unfortunate that your first post is a request for the members here to do your work for you in collecting materials for your book. We are a friendly bunch here and like to get to know new members before sending them our prized collections of port labels, corks, old bottles or anything else.
Feel free to come and join us if you have an interest in port. If not, good luck with the book.

Tore,
Welcome to FTLOP.
As Derek has already mentioned it is considered a no-no for one's first post at ANY wine forum to ask for wine labels or the such. As there are lots of reasons for this, including counterfeit bottles being produced with real labels. So understand if people are going to be a bit stand-offish.
I suggest telling us a little about yourself, and what your involvement with the school is, etc.
Excuse + About me

Hi Guys
I'm sorry for committing a major crime on my first day on FTLOP.
I was recommended by one of your members, who saw my post on LinkedIn, to post my request on your website.
About me: I'm a Danish wine writer/importer/marketer. I'm not a teacher at the wine waiter schools, I guess my qualification lies in the fact that I travel a lot as a purchaser and get to know whats going on right now in the various wine regions. I do understand your concerns regarding fake bottles - it's a real threat. Most of the wine labels I've received for blue chip wines have been overwritten with a big fat "SPECIMEN".
The book I'm writing should be printed later this year. Initially there will only be a daniosh version, but it probably will be translated into English.

Once again I really do apologize for breaking your rules.
I'm a big port freak, and I'm looking very much forward to exploring your website a bit more.

Tore,
Welcome. Hope you find it interesting and stimulating. I was also a bit concerned at your early request, but having seen

That has filled me with more confidence. As well as learning snippets from some major Port Nuts, I'm sure you'll have some great contributions,
Alan.
