My trips to Madeira are typically wine & dine intensive, so please let me know what else I must see or do while visiting the island next time.
Thanks!

Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
Hello
It's been a long since I went but we had a day trip to the NW of the island which was fantastic, it also included a levada walk, which is definitely worth it.
Otherwise, maybe a trip to Porto Santo? I didn't go but it is supposed to be lovely and has sandy beaches (unlike Madeira).
Thanks
Sarah

I haven't been there since I was 12 years old... but the Funchal Market was quite memorable. Great for people watching and a must-do if you are a food person. You'll never forget looking eye-to-eye with an espada:
