Especially for you guys in the US who wanna go to Funchal and are in Britain on the same trip.
EasyJet starts daily flights to Funchal from London Stansted, at quite superlow prices.
I checked at random some dates next February, and came out with a total
of GBP 49.98 roundtrip all inclusive of all taxes.
I have used EZY a few times, last time in May. OK Low Cost travel.

I may just have to fly through the UK next time going to Madeira in the spring of 2008. A great alternative. Thanks Reidar!

Next year, the Madeira club in New Bedford is going to charter a flight from Providence to Madeira direct for the 500 year celebration.
