Madeira and food pairings

Following on from a couple of recent posts, have a look at Barbeito's new website (vinhosbarbeito.com) where they have set up a matrix with recommended madeira/food pairings. Parmesan, goose/duck liver pate or as an aperetif/digestif with nuts are combinations that seem to tick all the relevant boxes but there are a lot of other interesting suggestions. Smoked eel (!) with your 10yr old sercial for example.
