My daughter just turned 21 and I let her choose whichever port she wanted from my cellar---this was her selection (she chose well IMHO)Eric Menchen wrote:1970 Graham is a good option. If I open one, that is a leading contender.
I still have mine, too. Not sure what to do with it yet.Marco D. wrote:I realized I still have the Quevedo single-varietal sampler set that I never opened. Might be a good time to break them open...
What's the rarest one she could've chose?John M. wrote:My daughter just turned 21 and I let her choose whichever port she wanted from my cellar---this was her selection (she chose well IMHO)Eric Menchen wrote:1970 Graham is a good option. If I open one, that is a leading contender.

I just recently pulled my second set out of offsite and plan to open them at some point soon. With the small corks, and small formats as single varietals, I don't think keeping them long term would be wise.Gary Richardson wrote:I still have mine, too. Wow, never really considered actually trying them...Andy Velebil wrote:I just recently pulled my second set out of offsite and plan to open them at some point soon. Very educational to try them. If you have a set, worth doing. You can really learn how each grape is on it's own and what traits it offers.Moses Botbol wrote:Wow, never really considered actually trying them...Andy Velebil wrote:I just recently pulled my second set out of offsite and plan to open them at some point soon. I had planned to revisit these using my second set over a year ago but never got around to it, so it's still sitting there waiting.Andy Velebil wrote:I just recently pulled my second set out of offsite and plan to open them at some point soon. I'm in somewhat the same boat, where many of the folks we'll be dining with won't be interested in any port, but I'll probably decant something for myself for after dinner and tote along some Sauternes for the during.Andy Velebil wrote:As for Thanksgiving. I most likely won't be opening anything as I'll be driving to the relatives and for the most part, no one else in my family who will be there drinks wine. Tonight though is a different story. So long as the protesters play nice and I'm off on time I'll open something.
