I'd love to organize something mid/late next year here in CA...
With enough lead time I can most likely make it.

Chris,

I just came across your posting tonight. I am going to be in Atlanta the last week of January and would be interested in several cases if you have not elected to sell them by auction. Please contact me and let me know either way.

Put on my detective hat and think these ports have come up for sale (or someone else had an incredible selection of vintage port in owc from the 90's) . https://www.lelandlittle.com/auctions/55/ I believe its active and closing within a week. If some of the prices stay at the lows I expect to be having an argument with my wife when next credit card statement comes.

Prices won't be any bargain by the time the auction closes. 25% net commission on top of that...

Only if you're shipping within North Carolina... I asked. :-)

Let us know what you bid on Glenn, I might bid on a few too, though it'll be primarily bargain hunting

I might bid on the 1997 Vesuvio 6-pack OWC. I'll be watching it and seeing what else is available. I'll post back if I bid. Oh, and maybe the 1992 Vesuvio. 1994 Vesuvio is tasty, but I already have a lot of it.

Thanks for the heads-up David.

I've found Leland Little has very low minimums and estimates compared to the final results.

Moses I think you may be right, a little to much bidding and the prices are already climbing beyond what I was looking to pay and there is 2 plus days left. Oh well :winebath:

I put bids on about 20-30 Lots; both wine and port. I doubt I'll win any of them. There are a couple I am going "all in" and assure I win. Other Lots, I don't mind pushing up the price to where whomever does win is paying a premium.

I bid on the 1997 Vesuvio. If you outbid me you might as well go buy them from retail, as Benchmark has them for $50 each. I'm still watching the 1992 Vesuvio and those cases of 1995 Taylor, which are a steal at the current price.

Also if anyone wants to split lots, I'm happy to do that as well, I have bids in on a bunch of the '95s and '91s due to the bargain prices, but probably don't need full cases.

Oops! Sorry! As I said before, my eyes got a bit big with all the lots at or under my drink just about any VP price point, if I win, happy to split with folks, especially if I went and bid them up haha.

No worries. We both were attempted to be outbid by someone else. So I wasn't going to win this lot anyway. ;-)
