Fonseca Guimaraens just launched their 2013 VP, this is not a straight up Fonseca, but their second label, but not attributed to any Single Quinta.

Also Vargellas was announced.
Quevedo as well with a SQVP, Quinta de Vale d'Agondinho

haven't heard of any others as of yet, but it's still early.

Vargellas won't be sold this and the next few years. They are going to age it, and sell later.

I find that rather odd for TFP as they normally, in the past, haven't done this. One can assume one of two things, they are copying the SFE who hold back Quinta dos Malvedos for about 10 years prior to release so it is more "ready" to go on release, or it is not showing particularly well at the moment they want it to sit for a bit and come together before releasing it. Either way it's always nice to let someone else do the aging for you.

From Taylors:
The Quinta de Vargellas 2013 will not be offered for sale now but will be cellared for release at a later date to help satisfy market demand for mature single quinta Vintage Port.

I personally think that the last few SQ vintage port are not sold out yet.

Then why not do the same for the Fonseca Guimaraens? That's what doesn't make sense.

Testing out a split strategy so as not to leave all the eggs in one basket?

I suspect that they were already doing this, at least partially, with Vargellas anyway. I haven't been in for 18 months or so but Costco in Australia was still selling 2001 Vargellas the last time I was there.

I'm sure there are a number of factors at play - there probably is stock from previous vintages hanging around, and I'm sure TFG are watching exchange rates and emerging markets as well with a view to maximising what they can get for current vintages and previous stock

I'm glad you were able to get some of the 2013 Noval - it is a very small production run. Only 1200 cases according to Christian Seely. I think it's going to be very hard to find in the US, but I'd like to get some of each 2011/2012/2013 since it is so unusual to see back-to-back-to-back declarations.

I have a bottle of 2013 Quevedo's Quinta Vale d'Agodinho in hand, after meeting with Oscar yesterday. Also his Crusted Port which I am really looking forward to trying, along with 2011 LBV and his newly bottled 30 year old Tawny Port.
