Quinta Nova de Nossa Senora Carmo Cla Rerserve

Post by John M. »

Say this in a B&M store for $28.99---looked like a ruby reserve in an odd bottle. Just seemed like too much for a Ruby Reserve, esp a producer I am not familiar with. Has anyone tried it?

I've heard of the producer, but I've never seen this Port before. I agree that it's probably a Ruby Reserve, though it's interesting that it's aged primarily in stainless steel. That might give it a slightly different flavor.

Yes, just a Reserve Ruby and yes quite expensive. It's a nice Port (I've had it), but for that price I would pass. Just my :twocents:

Look in the past newsletter (or is it two) and you will see copious notes of mine from this producer, I believe they were all from the 2011 vintage ... but not Ports.
