San Diego offline - Vintage Port Duel - 11/3/15

Post by Roy Hersh »

I'm helping out a wine and Port lover in SD that wants to put on a cool Vintage Port tasting for friends of his local wine society. It will take place on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. (Yes, I realize it is Election Day). :salute:

There will be three flights of Graham's vs. Fonseca from 1985, 1994 and 2003 (9 years between each vintage). There will be two bottles of each and 32 total people at this event.

As this is designed for SD locals from this man's wine group, he was ok with this appearing here and having any FTLOP'ers that wanted to attend; but you should know that each participant will have to:

a. bring their own glassware and ...
B. pay him a $50 fee to cover costs, (but zero profit) which seems very fair given the vintages and producers.

If seriously interested, say so here and we'll be in touch!

Well sorry you live on the other coast, John.

The man putting this together has received one "yes" and reservation from here so far ... and others from his own peeps.

If I was able to swing travel, I'd be interested, but unfortunately the Tuesday night makes that not possible this time.

Of the 36 places, 34 are sold out. Before the last two go, anyone here interested in joining us?
