I've never heard of that label. Has anyone around here?

I have come across their 1975 vintage port a couple of times:

I could bring the logo immediately to mind which makes me think I've seen more than just this one, but I could only find the one image on a quick trawl.

I know the label from the past, from the UK where it was quite a well known name. I did not know they were still selling under that label.

A little digging shows that Christie's owns the house and they have a lodge on the water front between two sides of Vasconcellos. I have no idea if they are part of or affiliated with Vasconcellos in any way, I certainly hope not.

Christies and Vasconcellos are not related in any (business) way. I have a vague recollection that Christies is associated in some way with the man who bought Boa Vista, but that could just be confusion caused by old age and lack of port.

Yes, it is very confusing. We actually visited the Vasconcellos lodge before the PHTII tour. I was bracing myself for a poor experience. They have completely renovated the lodge experience and more importantly, the wines have been vastly improved. I thought it was a fun and tasty visit. We only tasted tawnies and the 20 and 40 were quite good. This was a HUGE improvement over the last visit... which was a disaster. The interesting thing is that the receipt and documents showed both Butler Nephew and Christies on them. Maybe there is more than just a business relationship. They also implied that they have their own Quinta (as well as buying stocks), so that seemed new. Anyway, they have stepped up their game!
