1999 Quinta do Tedo Vintage Port

Post by Eric Menchen »

Also herbaceous like the 1997 Quinta do Tedo VP, and there is a hint of floral character; but this is not giving up as much aromatically as the 1997 Quinta do Tedo VP and the 2003 LBV. There is lots of fruit in the mouth, light and fresh like I just visited the fruit stand. Blueberry, red-blackberry (not quite old black); and orange that is bordering on blood orange. There was some tobacco-cigar aroma later. And there is some warmth with extended time in the mouth. This is another one good to drink now. And it has a nice long finish. 91 points.
