For The Love Of Port

One of my stash from when Broadbent imported them.
Dark, amber color with copper-green rim.
Rich aromas of caramel, christmas spices, tangerines, toasted nuts.
Rich palate, sweet but with nice balancing acidity. Exotic flavors, musky. Not as dense or rich as Australian Rutherglen versions, but with more acidity which I like. Good complexity.
Long tangerine, toffee finish.

Missed this one while I was away. Yes, can't get enough great Sétubal. Doesn't stop their being tons of mediocre stuff out there; tells you why the Muscat grape has suffered as it has--it's just too easy to practice laissez-faire viticulture and viniculture with this grape group. I've had this myself, from an auction-bought bottle that had lots of challenges but still had some things good to say. Glad you posted this. Keep up the Sétubal lover's group!
