MADEIRA Tasting Event 2015

New York, NY - Oct. 15th


Blandy's, Henriques & Henriques, H.M. Borges, Justino's, D'Oliveiras and Vinhos Barbeito will all be participating and showing their latest releases and more at a walk-around tasting for "on" and "off" trade, press and wine lovers.

There will also be a tutored wine tasting featuring a selection of rare and iconic Madeiras from the above cellars.

The walk-around tasting event(s) will take place between 3:30 and 7:00 p.m.

The Master Classes:

DC - The Capital Wine School @ 9 a.m. - noon
PA - Drexel Univ. Center for Hospitality & Sport Management @ 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
NY - Harrit Lembreck's Wine & Spirits Program Inc. @ 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
also ... The International Culinary Center @ 3 - 6 p.m.

This is a FREE event, but pre-registration is required as there is limited space.

Had a great time at my first madeira tasting last night! I was like a kid in a candy store. H&H, Broadbent/Justino, Barbeito, D’Oliveira and Blandy's in attendance. Had the pleasure of speaking personally with Ricardo Barbeito, Humberto Jardim and Manny Berk as well! Many of the offerings I've tasted previously, but here's what I consumed for the first time (not spittooned!). Due to some time constraints I don't have much in the way of TN's, just scores:

1990 D’Oliveira Malvasia - 92
1973 D’Oliveira Verdelho - 88
