Hello
I'm thinking about selling 2 very old and rare port bottles.
I speak of "Companhia Velha, Novidade de 1815, Companhia Geral da Agricultura das Vinhas do Alto Douro"
The specialty sites in Portugal put these 200years old bottles on sale, for 3,500 € each bottle.
They are in excellent condition with no leaks and rotulos ready for age. I can send photos of them to prove.
I intend to € 1,750 per bottle. 1.929,69 USD
I am a Portuguese, seller and Porto collector. I have others, older and rare bottles, and I am distributor of Quinta do Noval.
Anyone interested just contact.
Thank you
Nuno Nunes

Hi... Allan and Eric
I´m new in the forum, and far from the US our the Danish reality of the market.
Back here, were those wines are made...i am far from the real value...i am cheaper!
I'm glad to hear that all have good wine and dispense the same for good prices ... maybe I was wrong to try to sell ... i'l try to buy in the USA what is done in my country.
Oh.. by the way...one of those bottles of 1815 was sold in a auction a few month's for 800€
Eric.. the Madeira wine is more appreciated in USA? and whit more value?
Cheers

I do find that prices in the US and UK can be better than in Portugal, for Portuguese wines! At least Port and Madeira that is. I was in Garrafeira Nacional a little over a month ago. It was fun to visit, but I didn't buy any Port or Madeira there. I bought some Colares, because I can't find that here and it seemed more fairly priced.
Madeira has gone up a lot in price in the US in just the past few years. It has been somewhat of a hot market for that.
I did think your other listing was more in the ballpark (appropriate price range) from my perspective. This one you might be better off selling to someone locally.

Sorry Nuno, it was not my entend to be rude to You.
I Know that the Portuguese winestores have a considerably higher pricetags on there "special wines", than let say Germany.
On the other hand GN has some ok prices talking about ordinary Vinho do Porto.
And please keep on posting in here!
All the Best
Allan

For Americans, that is a $1200 bottle give or take.

So people are aware, there is a high likelihood this bottle is fake. The wax, bad quality Selo, and labels are identical. See this thread.
