Lots of fruit aromas, with grape stem, peach, then esteva, then an herbaceous weed, perhaps thistle. Really intensely spicy in the mouth, with cinnamon, and the flavor of licking a sawdust laden piece of wood, possibly sandalwood or acacia koa. Cherry berry orange. 91-92+ points.
This came up on wtso.com before I tasted it and I bought a couple of bottles. It came up again after I tasted it and I bought more. At a around $35, this is a steal.

I'm kicking myself that I missed the wtso purchase a few months ago.

Glad to see you use the term Esteva, Eric.
It was a distinct pleasure to get to show our group exactly what Esteva is.

It's a weed - gum cistus - that grows in the Douro valley. It has a peculiar smell that is similar to mint and is often recorded in tasting notes as some variation on mint, but once you've seen and smelled the actual weed it's pretty easy to pick out.
It even blooms!

In my humble opinion, while Eric's description was spot on, I think he was just slightly stingy in his rating. But that's one man's opinion and your mileage may vary.

Stingy as in you have it rated a point or two higher yourself?

And I put a + on that, indicating greater potential.
