Cockburn 1960 VP $100
Taylor 1980 VP $80
Warre 1980 VP $80

I havent tried a 60s VP yet, so that once has piqued my curiosity.

I'd grab all the Cockburn you can afford, as well as the Taylors... Hell, even Warre is good deal too.

Is the Cockburn 60 a real luscious, deep, cherry taste profile VP? I kind of an impartial to those. Thick, viscous, deep, cherry, blackberry-like.

Possibly found a 1963 Cockburn VP for $91. Have to confirm availability though.

Well I would certainly buy ANY and ALL of those if they were available in my area. The Cockburn's '63, if available for that price is a good deal (altho some consider it getting a bit old now)

Thanks for the input guys. I need to check if these 60s are trully in stock or are just listed as "ghost" inventory.

I have never had a 60s VP so I am excited about trying one.

There are not that many 1960 VPs which are still showing really well. My favorite today is probably the Quinta do Noval regular bottling.

The prices you have found are pretty good. The '80 for $80 offers are worthy, but you may want to try a bottle of each before investing too heavily in either.

Cockburn's 1963 is not one I would buy unless you are seeking a soft tawny that once was a very nice VP.

Roy, thanks for the info! So you think I should pass on the 60 and 63 VPs?
I am looking to buy 2-3 MATURE VPs for under $100. (probably a difficult task!)

OR maybe I go buy the Gould Campbell 77s I found for $75?
Are those mature and ready? I read some TN on the site and it seemed they could use more time.

Yes, a very difficult task. I am not telling you what you should or should not do Evangelos. It is not my style to tell you (or anybody) what to like or not to like, either.

All I can let you know is my own impressions from my own experience. Your mileage may vary or you may have a similarity in palate or trust mine. Regardless, I would suggest you buy one bottle of each and try them for yourself. Only then can you really know what to do next: take a pass or to go for more.

Are they tawny like meaning thinner and sweeter? I prefer FULL, think VPs.
I respect your opinion Roy, I'd rather pass on a $100 bottle if it will be tawny like.
