And now that I'm looking at the picture more closely, these are probably a year old if they're celebrating Cockburn's 200th year.

Reminds me of that old commercial for those Foster's 40s...

Cockburn's... it's English for Port. :wink:

With regards to everything Port Wine related I'm so conservative and traditional that compared with me the Catholic Church looks suddenly modern and flexible...
I understand that the Port Trade has to approach new consumers... I understand that Cockburn's want to distinguish itself from other Port Producers... people are different... and while I love what the Symingtons have done with the wines and the lodge of Cockburn, I'm not a big friend of this bottle design... :(
This bottle somehow reminds me of the Budweiser Aluminium bottle....

That was my first association too! Haha.

Yeah, while not my personal cup of tea, props for trying something new. The traditional packaging wasn't winning new customers, at least that's eye catching and might attract someone new to try it.
