TN: 1912 D’Oliveira Verdelho Vintage Madeira

Post by Roy Hersh »

I have always loved this particular bottling and had not had it in a few months. My friend Eric had opened it a few days earlier and when I was over (after a night of CdP) we went into his theater to watch a great movie and he poured this beauty. He generously let us have a 2nd glass too which was very much appreciated. It is one of my favorite Verdelho bottlings as it is profoundly a purists Verdelho with great typicity. Enough acid and length that I was still enjoying the aftertaste on the way home.

Yes, one of my favorites as well. Glad I still have a few bottles.
Roy, I thought you were going to celebrate the centenary of the Titanic with this one.

Eric,

That is still the plan with my bottle or two. The drink mentioned above was generously provided by my friend.
