Tasting Immortality
A well written article on Madeira: http://palatepress.com/2016/03/wine/tas ... mortality/
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

There's no better title for Madeira Wine than that this one said: "Tasting Immortality".
Nice reading this fine article by Joe Roberts.

Nice article! I'd like to try that 50-yr old Tinta Negra... sounds fun!

Re: Tasting Immortality
That was indeed a very fine article - and I concur with the sentiments raised in the article title, albeit perhaps for not the same reasons as for the author. There is something about madeira which, speaking from only my experience, that can felt at an experiental level, but cannot be sufficiently exposited or articulated. It has quite a unique quality, apart from its organic extraordinary and incomparable longevity.
