Thanks. But there is no information about price (registration free), nothing about the products offers (but we have producers), no description about the event, etc. At "La Grande Dégustation de Montréal" we had a website with some information but here we just have the essential. I have never been to this wine tasting and before i go there i wanted to have more information.
Anyway i think i can't miss this. I should be there too.

Fyi, attending the event is Free of charge but prior registration is mandatory.

As for the Wines, I was told by the organizers that there will be available over 60 premium Port and Douro wines (some being award winners!): still whites, reds and rosé and every special category of Ports.

I wish I could visit the Montreal tasting as well. Unfortunatelly is not going to work ...

When is there going to be a Boston event? It's been like a decade since they had one here and few big local B&M's are pushing hard on promoting Portuguese wines...

I was there around 4:30 and there was already a lot of people. I was surprise to see "beginners" in wine/port and in the same time "expert".
For the first time in a wine tasting i was alone. And it was free all the way. I was surprise because the cost of some bottles was more than 100$ or 200$. On the other side the quantity they gave in the glass was around 30ml (and sometimes less).
For the (best) tables :
- Symington : For the first time i drunk the Six grapes . Really not to bad (good) for a "small" port. I liked it.
A classic Graham 10 years old really nice! (20 years was there but i had around 15 ml... ).
I drunk the red wine from Quinta do Bomfim but it was not too good. A little to rough.
LBV Smith Woodhouse 2002 really nice too.
Thanks for the lady who was with me for around 30 minutes.
- Taylor Fladgate : I was really surprise to see TF at this wine tasting. I had not see their name on the list. This made my day.
TF vintage 2003 : I had the chance to taste two bottles. One opened since an hour an another one just opened in front of me. I saw a little difference between the two bottles but not too much. Great ports but i did not have the "wow" factor.
TF LBV 2011 : I was happy to taste a 2011. Really good.
Tawny 10, 20, 30, 40 : Second time that i had the chance to taste them all in the same time. It was really good but in the same time i was not impressed. Maybe because i was drinking ruby port, tawny port and big red wine from the Douro in one night?...
- Ramos Pinto: Tawny 10,20 and 30 years : First time with the 30 years old. Good rich port. I had a lot of long discussions with one lady who seems to know a lot and it was very interesting. But at this time there was a lot of people (noise) so it was sometimes difficult.

In general this was a good experience and the next morning i was "top shape" (i quit around 7pm).

I was planning to go, but in the end did not. I was planning to leave office and arrive around 6:30pm but I was told there was a 30-45 mins line up to get in, so I did not show.

This year, I was told they did target more the main stream consumer, a lot of advertisement on social media was done, that expelained the younger than usual crowd.

From the business point of view, it was nice to see this place filled, but most of the comments I got from the trade business of Montreal is they(the PR company) attracted mostly young folks in to get a free buzz from alcohol.

We'll see if it has an effect on sales!

I forgot... My first table was Duorum Vinhos . I drunk 2 red wine (good wines) and the first one was Duorum Colheita (2014 i think). I was surprise that a red wine have a Colheita for name. So i asked the guy at the table why Colheita for a Red wine?... He wasn't seem to understand. And a guy who was standing just beside us told me something like : "do your homework before coming" ?! ....
Did i miss something? For me that's not a normal thing when a red wine is call "Colheita" (habitually in port no?). Anyway the rest of the night was fine.

Frederik Blais when i quit there was a big line up!... and a lot of people inside so difficult to talk and walk around the tables. (around 7pm)

I wonder whether you are confused now !?
My Sugestion: Keep it simple by thinking of Colheita just as Harvest.

Thanks for the answer. I know what mean colheita but that's the first time i see this on red wine (from what i remember). On port or on wine that's the same thing.
Now i will never be confused.
