Christies Auction June 9th 2016

Post by Reidar Andersen »

After reading the thread of OP Brothers ( which I have no opinion, but suspicion ),
I looked at the results from the Christies auction June 9th ,
and saw something I have not seen before.

Most probably I have been sleeping in our class the past years. :beat:

HM BORGES PATHER TERRANTEZ 1720 £ 5,640.

Never seen Terrantez on the 1720 with a T ? Is it Terrantez ?

My 1720 Pather bought from Patrick Grubb Nov. 2002 for £ 1.000 ( picked up in London ).
Mine Patrick has his own paper label over P, unfortunely, and no T….

I bought on the same day Borges 1780 Boal , also with a paperlabel covering the stencilling.

Hi Reidar,

I think that is a catalogue error. It has the identical description for the other Borges.

I think the Pather has the "P." and the 1760 Terrantez has the "T"

Yes, Justin A, you are right... It looks like "the editor" at Christies has done a great job after tasting the bottles... [cheers.gif] [kez_11.gif]
