1934 Burmester VP
Has anyone ever tried this particular VP? I cannot find any tasting notes anywhere. At any rate, I am being offered a couple of bottles, which are in good shape, for about EUR 200 apiece.

Can you post picks of the bottle?

Cool pic (I scaled it down a bit to make it easier to see). Haven't had it but Burmester did make a lot of off vintages. At that price, so long as the fill level is good, I'd take a chance on it.

Thanks; let us give it a shot. (And thanks for sorting out the picture for me; I am quite hopeless with such things.)

1934 an "off vintage"?Andy Velebil wrote:Cool pic (I scaled it down a bit to make it easier to see). Haven't had it but Burmester did make a lot of off vintages. At that price, so long as the fill level is good, I'd take a chance on it.

More seriously Will, I'd love to hear how the Burmester from 1934 turns out to be today. 1934 was a small vintage but produced some superb ports. I rate the '34 Noval as highly as the '31 but don't have much experience with Burmester's vintage ports.
