Pick just one Quinta you've never been to....

But really want to go to.
Many of us have dreamed of heading to the Douro and just haven't been able to yet. Some of us have been lucky to travel to the "mother land" and visit various properties along the way. Excluding any property you've already been to, what is the ONE Quinta you have never been to but want to visit more than any other.
You can only pick one.

That's a tough one, because I've been to most of the big name Quintas that I've wanted to visit. I'll think about it and come back later!

Maybe Eira Velha, I was told it is fantastic.

Vesuvio. It's big, remote, has a lot of history, and I love the wines.

Bom Retiro. Even though Ramos Pinto's 20-yr old is no longer single vineyard (and also no longer my favorite 20), I'd still like to visit. We tried to go there in 2008 but turned back because the road was too rustic for our poor rental car. Might have been the wrong road, but there was a sign that said "Quinta do Bom Retiro" and had an arrow pointing down the road!

It is a very poor road indeed!

Mine would be Smith Woodhouse's Quinta da Madalena . I've always wanted to go there as I've seen the area from afar but never been down that part of the Rio Torto.

Pretty easy choice for me. I badly want to go to Quinta do Vesuvio. Walk the fields, see the winery, listen to the history while sitting on the patio and doing a complete vertical and then spending the night at the estate. Wake up in the morning and take a swim in the river then a breakfast in the shade.

Quinta do Noval for me.
There are a few I'd love to get to, but Noval would be top of the list.

I agree with Frederick - EIRA VELHA would be my pick, too.
Thomas V description about how he would spend the day and night at VESUVIO is really cool and alone for this he deserves already an invitation... Hope the right people read this...
Rental cars and "rustic" roads... well, I have traveled with tiny rental cars over so many terrible places... sometimes I was sure that this would be either the end of me or the car or both of us... But so far everything somehow worked out... I just love to drive in the Douro.

I wish. I will go on a charm campaign when I go to Porto & the Douro in September.
