Offline in London - Wednesday 20th July

Post by Al B. »

Next week a group of us based in the UK are getting together to share some port - the theme being "Anything but Vintage Port" so there is likely to be a range which could include some or all of LBV, ruby, colheita or tawnies with an indication of age. This is an open invitation to anyone who would like to learn more about port or who would like the chance to drink some port with other fellow port lovers. If you'd like to join us then please just post a note in this thread to say so. All we'd ask is that you bring a bottle of port to share with everyone else and be prepared to contribute £10 towards the cost of hiring the room, glasses etc. (plus another £35 if you'd like to have dinner as well as port).

Where: The Boot & Flogger 10-20 Redcross Way, SE1 1TA
When: 18h30 on Wednesday 20th July
What: Port - Anything But Vintage Port

Interestingly the theme we've chosen has flushed out two bottles of 1962 vintage port bottled in 1966 - one from Warre and one from Dow.
