Aromas of honey and apricot, but also some stale cigarette smoke. Swirling gives some different–apple butter and pear. Tasty, tangy, but not overly complex, with flavors of honey and Honeycomb cereal. There is also some cinnamon on top of caramel sugar. Nice, but others liked this a lot more than me. 89 points.

I enjoyed this, and it's always a rare treat to enjoy a Port from my birth year. I liked it a bit more than you. But I wonder if this is starting to get "long" in the bottle and it time to start drinking these up. What are your thoughts?

That very well could be the case.

Also, I am probably biased by my other drinking habits and personal preferences. I've had sherries and Madeiras, and drink Banyuls, Rivesaltes, etc., but Port remains my favorite red. On the white side, I regularly drink Sauternes, Tokaji, SGN, vin de paille, etc., and I've had a lot of really great ones of those. I've had some really good white Port, but I can't say it is my favorite white.
