1964 Krohn Colheita Branco white port

Post by Rune EG »

Last bottle purchased 2012 at Krohn shop in Gaia.
Bottled 2012 (= 48 years at bottling!). Decanted 1 hr. Transparent medium amber colour. Aroma of apricot, citrus, and then some wood and earth (terroir). Full body. Powerful citrus/apricot taste, some minerals and towards the end indications of sweet fruit (possibly mango). Tannins are wonderful, nice acidity. Well-structured and well balanced. Tiny bit bitterness at the very end, also with some hints of spirit. Medium length aftertaste. Seems this bottling is still holding quite well. 94 pts.
