1995 Porto Souza Vintage Port

From the recent buying opportunity. Opened for the 1st meeting of the Sammamish Port Club.
1995 Souza VP
Color: Darkish garnet with a little luster to it.
Nose: Rich grape, deep purple berries, and some milk chocolate.
Palate: Red cherry. Spicy - sort of like cayenne, but not as latent as that (more up front). Fine, smooth tannins. Very nice. Round mouth feel.
Score: 91 points. While the 1995 had slightly more flavor than the 1987, it wasn't as easy to drink so I liked the 1987 better. The group was split down the middle (4 vs 4, with 2 choosing the 1997) as to which bottle they'd want to take home to finish tomorrow.
